This issue features a smaller cover leaf that lists the contents and leaves “transition no. 15” exposed. When you fold it back you reveal the photogram by Man Ray underneath. Experiments with inserts, folds, and typographic variations become more standard practice in this issue and proceeding ones. See also the “Notes” on page 187 for comments on typography and book printing: “Sentimental consideration for past ideals is still clinging to traditional type and presentation. The old principles of ‘beauty’ do not interest our modern vision. We demand non-decorative typography.”
