Occasional Talks

  • Concordia University, Department of English 1455 Maisonneuve Blvd W, LB 681 Montreal, QC, H3G 1M8 (map)

Throughout the Spring of 2023 the Centre for Expanded Poetics will host a bi-weekly speaker series in which CEP-affiliated PhD and MA students will give informal workshop talks about their research, focusing on one object of study or interest, each of which will feature respondents from the series and a question period open to any who attend. This series, Occasional Talks, will run throughout the spring semester, on Tuesdays at 3PM in the CEP reading room, in LB 681. The talks will last about an hour, and aim to give students in the English department who are interested in the work being done in and through the CEP a chance to meet affiliates and share skills and resources in regard to research and other projects.

The schedule is currently as follows:

January 10th - Paisley Conrad

Jan. 24th - Robin Graham

Feb. 7th - Aubrey Grant

Feb. 21st - Marlene Oeffinger

March 7th - Nora Fulton

March 21st - Tessel Veneboer (Guest)

March 28th - Charlotte Wetton (Guest)

April 4th - Joshua Harold Wiebe (Guest)

Please check back for updates. All are welcome to attend, and unaffiliated students interested in working with the CEP in the future are especially encouraged to attend. For any questions, please contact Nora Fulton.
